Sov's interludes
Interlude #2
This is the second interlude featuring Sov. This one came out of a few posts and my personal very personal problem with grocery shopping. I hate it. Big time. I won’t even go into my phobia about coupons. LOL

<In front of Chantal’s office>
Tedras was pacing back and forth, talking to herself. "I need furniture, space, light. I can’t continue like this. I need my own art studio… and art supplies. I have to go shopping. Now where’s Star? She was suppose to help me with this. I can’t do this by myself." Turning, Tedras saw Star coming towards her. She was not alone. She had brought reinforcement : Kelly.
"Star, my friend, you are so cunning. She won’t be able to see through Kelly. Good move" said Tedras. Kelly smiled, put her arms around Star’s and Tedras’ neck "Girls, we are about to spring one big, very big tale on the boss." Star smiled wickedly and said " Let’s do it."
Tedras knocked softly on Chantal’s office door.
"Yes, come in" Chantal’s voice sounded a bit tired. Tedras, Star and Kelly went in.

"Okay. Let me get this straight. Tedras, you need a personal art studio so you can work in peace. That’s understandable and reasonable. I can agree to that. Now, what I don’t understand is what *you* are doing here Star? Kelly? Moral support? I’m not *that* bad" said Chantal.
"No, not moral support and of course you’re not *that* bad. Well most of the time, cousin. I’m here because you see, there’s more to this than just using a space. We, I mean, Tedras needs supplies, furniture and you know how I love shopping" replied Star.
"Oh, I know. My cousin Star, the shopping queen" said Chantal with a silly smile. Art supplies. Fine. No problem. Kelly? Your turn. Why are *you* here?"
"See, I also need supplies for the THUD files. I need blank audio tapes, video tapes. Some new color coded files, you know, supplies. So we thought, we just go and make this an all in one shopping trip" replied Kelly with an innocent smile.
"Who’s we?" asked Chantal
Star cleared her throat and answered cautiously "Oh, it’s just a few of us. Tedras, for art supplies, Kelly ,for the THUD supplies, Freya, for Herkspital stuff, Alcyone needs computer software. Calico gave Hilara a list of Herk’s toys to find. Nothing too extravagant."
Chantal looked into Star’s eyes then Tedras’ and finally Kelly’s. Then said " Okay, you go by Danaan’s office first to see how must cash you can all spend." Chantal waved her left hand and added " You may go." As the door closed, Chantal’s smile was dangerously wicked.
Their backs to the door, all three ladies let out a silent yippee and left in a hurry. Direction, the shopping mall but they had to pick up their CO-conspirators first and well the guest of honor, of course.

<Danaan’s office>
Danaan is giving some last minute recommendations to the lucky Amazons.
"Now, everybody has their Platinum Amazon Express Card, right?"
"Oh, yes. No problem. I have mine ready to go" said Freya. "I can’t wait to go into the lingerie store…"
"Lingerie? Since when is lingerie Herkspital supplies?" asked a confused Alcyone.
"Since it opened. I think. Help me out here, Melite" asked Freya.
"Yes, since the very beginning." Melite was a bit distracted. She was going over Kelly’s list.
"Ropes. No problem. Handcuffs. Did you lose yours, again. That’s the third pair this month, Kelly" said Melite. "What do you do with them? Eat them?"
Kelly looked at her friend and says very matter of fact "No. I don’t eat them. Sov keeps stealing them from me."
"Oh, that’s where he gets them" is heard from Star, Danaan and Tedras.
"Gee, ladies you should really get your own set of handcuffs. I have platinum, gold, silver ones…" started Freya.
"Oh, my gods, Freya. That’s really more than I wanted to know. Really." said a very amused Alcyone.
Melite giggles. "Alcyone, welcome to the world outside Calico’s back store. Now, Kelly, that list of yours… Chocolate syrup? "
Kelly only raised an eyebrow and gave Melite a don’t ask if you’re not prepared to deal with the answer look. " Something to do with the bad attitude Lord of War, I don’t want to know" replied Melite and she continued to read the list. "Gauge chains. Of course, we used up all the supplies during the wash up party." Melite got a far away look and began drifting. Her eyes glazed over. "Oh Melite, come back to us, or we’ll leave you here, all alone" whispered Star. "Right, the list. I’m okay" replied Melite " Video tapes, Camcorder, audio tapes, usual THUD stuff… Elastic Ace Bandages? Kelly?"
"You don’t want to know, Melite, believe me, you don’t want to know." answered Kelly with a very very wicked grin.
"Add Lemonade, grapes to that list" said Becky who just slipped into the office.
"Don’t forget the whip cream, honey and maple syrup. What? I happen to like maple syrup" said Hilara with a smile "Especially when poured on Sov’s stomach"
" Euh, Hilara. Way too much information here. Really." Tedras said rolling her eyes.
The door flew open and there stood the man himself "I see, you must be my shopping nannies. Ready to go, ladies." He then whispered to himself "Oh yeah, this is going to be good."
