KS HOTLINE WEEKLY MEETING#4

WHEN SOME CATS ARE GONE, OTHER CATS SHALL PLAY….

Context: This was written right before the January Convention in Burbank. And the week of the first viewing of the grape episode. The news about the calendar was very real and funny, kinda.

Some of the staff members were packing and bouncing around. They were going to the Burbank Convention. A mini meeting was held for those going.

"Now, Calico, you make sure about those calendars. I’ve been getting some weird premonition dreams about them. They might not be ready" says Nannyboo.

"Don’t worry. I’ll track them down and take no prisoner" replies Calico her eyes as cold as ice. "They better be ready or else…" adds MMMuffin with an evil snicker. "I would definitely not want to be in Creation’s shoes…" whispers Melite.

"SaraQuinn, you take extra care of yourself now. We want you back in one piece. No car pile up for you, please" chimes in Star who sticks her head in the meeting room. "Chantal, the thing you wanted me to set up, it’s done" she adds with a big wide smile and if you look very closely, you can see a tiny, bitsy drop of drool at the corner of her mouth. But no one notices except Nannyboo who stares at it until Star wicks at her.

Gazelle and Melite who were exchanging grape recipes ask in unison "What thing? You’re not planning some party behind our back are you?"

"No, no, it’s the training meeting for the new staff members Deeva, Linda, Taliune and Nyxx. Someone has to mend the phones with all of you gone. Princess, Nannyboo, Star and I can’t do it alone, you know? With the grape ep rush! Please!!!" replies Chantal.

"Training new recruits. Oh, what fun! I’d rather go to Burbank. Thank you" says Melite with a wide grin.

A little malicious sparks appears in Chantal’s eyes but quickly vanishes as she got up. "Well, some of us have to sacrifice sometimes… Meeting over, have fun in sunny California."

The Okie gang just looked at one another. Calico, MMMuffin and Skeezix decide right there they would definitely check back during the week end, just in case.

<Chantal on the phone> "Yes, Princess, don’t worry about it. Everything is going as planned. I have contacted everyone. It definitely won’t be over when you get here." <hangs up> " Her grape envy is going way out of control. We’ll have to find a remedy for it." <veg>

"Now the KS Anxiety ep case?" she turns a button and a voice can be heard. "Now, Nyxx, I understand you being jumpy and all. It’s a bummer to be behind one episode…"

<Chantal whispering> "Oh, that voice… I could listen to it for hours. It can soothe any stress. We should probably ask him to do a stress remedy tape. It would be a charity thing of course… Nyxx, I know you will be all right very soon."

The voice continues on. "You know, I think may be, I could read out loud some of the dialogue of the episode. Would that help…"

"Okay, that might work. I just can’t believe I’m trapped with you…."answers Nyxx.

"Now, ladies, you have your KS HOtLine list. We have been over it. Now, it’s practice time." Star is like a little general with her army. Deeva, Linda, Taliune and Angelika are listening carefully.

"When answering the phones, you evaluate the situation: is it a venting case? We get a lot of those since the X*** trilogy came out. Especially the dirt under the fingers thing. Or a grape case? We are expecting a rush of grape envy cases. Those are special cases. You invite them to the grape addiction meeting tomorrow afternoon. Oh and ladies, it’s mandatory for you to attend also. Tell them to bring their emergency drool kit and some extra towels. They are going to need it" smiles Star.

"Off you go. Practice time. You are paired with a veteran so don’t worry. Here’s the name of your partner. Deeva you are with Becky. Linda, you are with Shauna and Taliune you are with Castalia. And Angelika, I need you with me for something else" ends Star.

Deeva, Linda and Taliune jump in the thick of things right away.

"Yes, you need the recipe for the ice grapes. One moment please" Linda types some keys on her laptop, looks at Shauna. "That’s the one, right?" "Yup, that’s the one. I should know, I wrote it" smile Shauna. "You’re doing great."

"Where can you find a gold rimmed drool bucket? Oh wait a second." Deeva takes one of the many binders that are around. "This one, right?" she asks Becky who is handling a very hysterical and very confused Xenite. A nod confirms it. "Okay, you can find that gold rimmed drool bucket at…" Deeva smiles back at Becky.

"No, this is not the Kevin Smith Hot line. This is the Kevin Sorbo Hot Line… hold please. Is there a Kevin Smith Hot line" demands Taliune around. Her eyes are pleading. Castalia holds back a laugh and says " Give me this one, I know her. Now Kendaa, that is little wicked. Are you calling from the plane? Did you hit your head too many times bouncing around? " Castalia laughs and hangs up. " Don’t worry about it. She’s a little too excited and she’s a double Kevin obsession case. The different Hotline numbers are on your left, see."

<Star> I’m glad you’re back. We really missed you around here. So Chantal, Nannyboo and I thought that you’d like a welcome back gift."

<Angelika getting a little pink> " A gift? Really, that was not necessary. What is it?"

<Star stopping in front of the new wing of the KS Headquarters> "This part of the complex is to be opened in a few weeks but with the large number of grape addicts, we decided to use it a little early."

<Angelika> "Wow, it’s so beautiful."

<Star> "Yes, this room will be used for group session. The windows let the sunshine in also we have lots of place for the thudding amazons to fall."

<Angelika> "Good idea to have extra thick carpet."

A door at the back is opening. Chantal comes in backwards. "Well you know how much I appreciate this. I know you will too " she says.

"Yes, I will and THEY WILL SCREAM…"is the answer.

Turning around Chantal is a little out of breath. "Oh, good. Angelika. I, I mean, we need you to baby-sit our guest for tomorrow’s meeting. Are you free this evening?"

Angelika with a wide grin walks into the back room and says "Well, Sov, how are you?"

Star and Chantal walk out of the seminar room. Star says with a wry smile "Ahem, dear, your T-shirt is backwards…"

Becky, Shauna, Nannyboo, LadyLegs and Amazon Storm are making sure the seminar room is ready.

<Nannyboo holding a clipboard> "Drinks? Do we have enough lemonade, Blue eyed Sorbo and Sorbo Squeeze?"

"Yes, we do" answer back Becky, Shauna, LadyLegs and Amazon Storm.

<Nannyboo> "Easels, drawing paper, paint, brushes…"

"Yes, we do" is the response from the now very annoyed amazons.

<Nannyboo> "What about clay? Do we have enough of that?"

"Yes" is heard in unison and "Stop it or you’ll end up in the KS Anxiety room" adds Chantal as she walks in.

"Really could I?" answers Nannyboo with a spark in her eyes.

"No", replies Chantal, "Nyxx is still in there."

<Nannyboo sighing> "Lucky girl…"

<Freya is handling the phones> "Yes, the grape meeting is at 3.00 PM. No you don’t need to be an official member to attend but I strongly suggest you bring your emergency drool kit." After hanging up, she says to herself "Well, that meeting will empty the Herkspital. Oh I need to call up the cleaning crew. And also I’ll need to get ready for the aftermath. Oh baby, will they scream…"

<3.00 PM. The seminar room>

Amazons are walking into the beautiful, sun lit, airy room. Easels and tables are placed in a very large circle. In the middle, a low podium with an empty antique wooden chair. Big smiles, little strands of drool are showing up on the amazons’ faces. They each take a place in the circle. Becky and Shauna are handling the drink orders.

"You need to get your order in because no drinks will be serve during the meeting" is repeated many times by Shauna.

"One Virgin Sorbo Squeeze coming up."

"I’ll take a lemonade on ice, please." asks Nannyboo. "I’ll need it."

<Chantal> "Well ladies, welcome to the first grape addiction meeting. Some of our amazons sisters could not attend because of the convention in Burbank but WHEN SOME CATS ARE AWAY OTHER CATS SHALL PLAY…"

The back door opens. Angelika enters with a very wide smile (and some of her hair is a little wild but nobody notices really. LOL) and holds the door.

<Star> "Ladies, as the KS HOTLINE resident specialist, I decided that the grape addiction group was in need of a special therapy approach. I call it the artistic grape therapy technique. You have in front of you the material needed for the therapy."

<Chantal to Freya> "Well, Fantasy Angel. It’s your turn…"

<Freya clears her throat> "Ladies, I give you this afternoon model…" but her voice weakens as the Sovereign holding proudly a very small cluster of grapes walks in and takes place on the podium.

Thud are heard all around.

Suddenly the front door opens up with a big bang. "Am I late? Am I late?" screams Princess running into the room. She is halted by the sight of the Sov on the podium. "Well, Princess, nice of you to join us. Take your place. Oh and this I don’t really need" says Sov throwing away the grapes. "Let’s start" he yells lounging in the chair only wearing a very very wicked smile.

Amazons’ screams were heard late into the night and when the phone rang, nobody answered.

Chantal, KS Hotline, I know the patients are running the asylum

P.S. Nyxx you can come out of the room now. What? You don’t want to come out. Go figure…
