HerKdom's Harrowing Halloween Ball
Preview
In the darkest most hidden room of the mysterious castle's dungeons Salmoneus stood
shivering. Fear rose in his throat. He wanted to run as far and fast as he
could but doubted he could
remember how to negotiate his way out of the twisted labryinth he'd been led through on
his
way in.
Various chemical concoctions bubbled around the labratory and several pods draped in
black cloth were placed against the cold stone walls. Two mysterious figures in hooded
burgandy robes ran from pod to pod checking the various gauges attached to each of them.
What had he gotten himself into. Sal had received a note from an anymous source alerting
him to
a can't miss money making opportunity. Sal being Sal he'd been immediately intriqued and
not inclined to ask to many questions. It wasn't all that strange that the ink on the note
was blood red in color. He tried to assure himself he hadn't done anything wrong.
He'd just clipped a few strands of hair from the big guy. The man had such a full
healthy head of it, he'd never miss it. Sal had delivered it to Kull's castle as
instructed. He hadn't seen any harm in his action at all but now he feared this wasn't as
innocent as it had first appeared.
"Hey yoo hoo" Sal called out. "Remember me? "You promised me, several
dinars for delivery.
I delivered now where are my dinars? I think I want to leave now" One of the hooded
figure's spun around. Sal couldn't make out any facial features. They were cloaked too
well. "Follow me" the mysterious being ordered.
"You'll get your due." The voice was raspy and also gave no clue to its
owners identity. Sal followed trying hard to keep from fainting. They turned down a dimly
lit corridor. "Wait a minute" Sal said. I don't remember seeing any cells on the
way in, this isn't the way out is it?"
"Brilliant deduction, Salmoneous Holmes. That's because your not leaving. Your going
to be our guest, for eternity." Sal suddenly felt himself being pushed in the cell
and heard the ominous sound of the door being locked. He turned around to face his
tormentor, but there was no one there anymore.
Having taken care of the delivery boy, the figure reappeared in the lab. "Good
work" the partner said. "Our plan is right on schedule. We are going to succeed
behind our wildest expectations. Would you like to pull the switch?"
"I'd be delighted" said Sal's jailer and gave action to
her words. The room lit up like the fourth of July. The drapes automatically dropped off
all the pods. The two partner's admired their work. This is going to be one Tarturus of a
Halloween ball one of them commented. They looked at each other and wicked laughter
filled the air. They lowered both lowered their hoods. One revealing blonde hair
as pale as a ghosts. The other's tresses were as orange as a full harvest moon.
"Shall we start sending out the invitations?" the blonde asked. "Yes"
the redhead responded. And we musn't fail to let our guests know it will be a very special
night." "Don't you mean nightmare?" the other replied. Their gleeful
cackles once again filled the air.
In the Woods
Freya, Melite, Hilara, Chantal, Star
Chantal marched on through the deep dark woods dragging Melite, Hilara, Freya and Star
behind her. Lightening was striking and the thunder was crashing all around them. "Uh
I don't think this is such a good idea" Melite said. "This could be very
dangerous."
"I hate thunder and lightening. Hilara added. "I want to go back
home too" Freya said. Sov promised
to ring my chimes tonight.
"Look ladies" Chantal said, "Sov is HerK's alternate in his universe right?
There is also Ares the god of war and an Ares god of love. "Two Ares" Star
sighed. "So ergo" Chantal continued there must be two of all the HerK clones in
the alternate world. And I can't see them wasting away over on the other side, when
we can be having so much fun with them over here especially with the Halloween ball coming
up. Imagine it Hilara, another Rober't and Melite, a second Kull.
"Okay, Okay, you convinced me. What do we do?" Melite asked. Chantal smiled and
informed the group that she had set a metal pole out before the storm started.
"All we have to do is wait for lightening to strike it, thus opening the door
to the other side. Then we wait and see who comes out to play."
Who's Coming Out To Play? (Thanks Freya For the Satin)
Chantal, Freya, Hilara, Melite, Star
The amazons stood a safe distance away from the metal poll. They had been out there quite
awhile and so far nothing had happened. But then suddenly lightening struck. "Thanks
Zeus" Chantal cried out to the skies. She was rewarded for her gratitude. The gate to
the alternate universe came open and the first one through it was Ares, god of love.
"This doesn't look like my world" he said sounding puzzled. "Its not its
ours" Chantal informed him. "We just wanted to invite you to come and play on
our side for awhile" said Star. "Then you two must be my welcoming comittee. And
an extremely lovely one at that" He pulled Star to him and bestowed a heart stopping
kiss on her lips. Then it was Chantal's turn to be wowed.
"I wonder whose next?" Freya asked. She didn't have to wait long for an answer.
Out stepped, a Sorbo-clone. He was dressed in a red satin vest and black scaled pants.
"Who is he?" Hilara asked LAres. "Don't tell us" Melite said. "I
want to guess." "Let's see, with that satin vest, my guess is he's
alternate GHerK." "We call him "Devilish HerK." LAres said. "Uh
oh? he's not like, you know?"
Freya said nervously pointing downward.
"No, No" L Ares assured her. Putting an arm around both Chantal and Star, he
continued. "He doesn't use his powers for anything truly bad. He's just a trickster
of sorts." "We will give him
to Danaan. I bet the two of them will have lots of fun together." Freya said.
While they were talking, yet another HerK made his entrance. This one was dressed in what
must
have passed for a buttoned up pin-striped suit in his world. "My turn to guess"
Hilara said eagerly.
"I bet he's brainy HerK."
"Actually he's called Brilliant HerK" LAres informed her, taking
a brief break from nibbling Chantal's ear. "But you have the basic idea." LAres
then bent to place kisses on Star's closed eyelids.
"Hmm, Brilliant HerK, we will have to give him to someone, who can loosen him
up a bit." Freya commented. "I know KalliSta" she'll get him to ditch the
tie, the shirt... well you get my drift" Melite said laughing.
"Umm Hilara don't look now but I think Alt Rober't is coming" Chantal informed
her. The man who stepped through the gates had a rose in one hand and a saber in the
other. He was dressed in the uniform of a musketteer.
"He is Chivalrous Rober't " Devilish HerK said. "He's
exquiste" Hilara sighed. "If you like that type" Brilliant Herk replied.
Chivalrous Rober't ignored the remark and knelt in front of Hilara." "I am at
your service, my lady" he said bringing her hand to his lips. Then he presented her
with the rose.
"This is a blast, Chantal" Star said. "Thanks Chantal this was a great
idea" Melite, Freya and Hilara echoed. "See I told you" Chantal said
grinning from ear to ear as LAres was peppering her neck with kisses. "I wonder how
many more are coming?"
"Ladies, I hate to spoil your fun" Zeus voice called down. But I have
plans(ahem) for the evening. Now that cow face, I mean Hera is in Tartrus, I can do
whatever I want. So it's my time to play, if you get my meaning. I'm afraid I'm
going to have to close the window now." Slowly the lightening strikes began to
die down.
Meltie bowed her head in dissappointment but she didn't say a word. Suddenly she
felt a soft kiss against her cheek. "Ah, I'm just a big push over for a splendidly
beautiful, amazon" Zeus whispered into the wind around them. I haven't forgotten you,
my dearest Melite." Here is your Halloween treat, Barbarian King Kull." A
man on a horse jumped rapidly through the closing window. He was wearing a robe of
black leather around his shoulders but his extremely endowed chest was fully exposed. His
hair was long and untamed. He rushed towards Melite and swooped her up onto his black
stallion. "Let's go get wild, goddess" he said as they raced out of the
forest."
Zeus zapped down horses for the rest of the assembled group. "Happy Halloween"
Zeus shouted "and remember don't do anything I wouldn't do." "That leaves
us alot of room for fun" Hillara said. "I heard that" Zeus said his booming
laughter rivaled the thunder. Then it was gone.
"What are we waiting for amazons?" Freya asked. "We have a party to get
ready for!" "Come on guys follow us."
Kull's Castle - The main ballroom
Kull's castle was a beehive of activity. Amazon's and Sorbo-clones were everywhere getting
ready for the big Halloween Masquerade ball. No one had fessed up to sending out the
invitations. But the mystery only added to everyone's sense of excitement.
Fallafel was in the kitchen cooking up a feast and making special chocolate replica's of
all the Sorbo
clones. Luckily Kull's chief chef was overseeing him and giving him lessons in the
process.
Danaan, Devlish HerK, Hestia and GHerK were preparing the games. Danaan set up a standup
of HerK from "If I Had A Hammer". "This should work fine" Hestia
said as she handed Danaan several bunches of grapes. Danaan carefully placed them on the
standee. "There bobbing for grapes is all ready" "I thought the game was
called 'bobbing for apples' ", GHerK said with an amused grin on his face. "You
play your way, will play ours" Danaan informed him. Devilish HerK grabbed
her and gave her a thorough kiss. "I love this place and you my firey, fistey
amazon"
Mystalia and NHerK were hanging the orange and black streamers. She was enjoying watching
him climb the ladder, a large grin on her face.
Ap was gently trying to explain to Kull that while he ruled the kingdom with an axe, it
was not the tool of choice for carving pumkins.
DHerK was making sure the music was danceable. He was twirling both Astrild and Julie into
his chest.
CJ and LHerK were mixing up the lemonade. He was shirtless of course. CJ
insisted he taste test
it several times as she looked on in fascination.
Ares and LAres stood over in the corner. Trying to decide what they should make of one
another.
"Well" Ares finally said "You are handsome but I don't know about this
whole god of love gig.
I prefer much prefer war." "What ever your karma tells you alt brother"
LAres replied. Chantal and Star, were careful to disguise their giggles.
Sov and Freya and Melite and Barbarian Kull were upstairs "preparing the
bedrooms" as all the party guests would be spending the night. As Sov said they had
to test the beds to make sure they were "sturdy" enough. Sov and Freya took one
side of the castle and Melite and Barbarian Kull took the other.
Downstairs more amazons and Sorbo clones were arriving. All unaware of the nefarious deeds
taking place in the dungeon.
Outside Kull's Castle.
The night was clear and the air was brisk as Herc and Iris set out the HerK-o-Lanterns
that Kull, Apollena and some of the other amazons had carved. A full moon was
bright in the sky overhead.
In the distance Iris and HerK heard the howl of a wolf but they were not frightened.
They were comforted by the sound of this magnificent creature.
HerK and Iris were having a ball as they lit each of the candles inside the lanterns and
watched
as the faces of HerKdom came to life. SHerK's looked adorable. NNHerK's was quite um
"detailed".
It pictured him captaining his vessel. HerK had to pull Iris away from
that one. The next one was of
the Sov. It was perfect down to his goatee and the artist's hand had captured the ever
present
leer in his eyes. Iris could almost hear Sov's voice saying "tremble at the sight of
me."
Iris eventually set the final one down. "This is my favorite and the most special of
all. It almost
dosen't need a candle. It has a warm glow all it's own" she declared. It was of HerK
himself.
There was a pile of leaves just off the pathway. HerK laid down in them and pulled Iris
after him.
They rolled around for a few moments, taking turns covering one another with leaves. They
laughed and laughed. Then HerK reached up to carress Iris's face, gently tucking a strand
of hair behind
her ear.
"You are so sweet and beautiful" he told her" just before he kissed her.
Iris' returned it with all the
love she felt for this incredible man.
They were both too engaged in their embrace to notice the dark shadow begining to cloud
the moon. Nor did they hear the sound of chanting coming from beneath the castle.
One of the bedroom's In Kull's Castle.
Freya was disturbed by a knocking sound. She couldn't quite place where it was coming
from. "Sov", "Sov" she said as she nudged his shoulder "What is
that noise?" " My lusty amazon darling it's just the knocking of of bed posts
against the wall. Probably from Melite and Barbarian Kull. Let's
make our posts knock some more too" he growled. Freya chuckled. He really did
have a one track mind but then she wasn't about to complain. She went back into his arms
indulging both the Sov and herself.
Downstairs one floor above the dungeon.
Catstale and YIolaus had been sent to get somemore Halloween decorations from storage. It
was dimly lit and a few spider webs dangled here and there. "It's kind of spooky down
here" Catstale
whispered. "Don't worry love, there is nothing to be frightened of. I'll protect you
always." "I know you will. You are one of the bravest men I have ever met."
He pulled her into his arms and
took her lips with his. They kissed and kissed till they too heard the knocking.
"I wonder what that noise is" Y Iolaus asked. "Maybe I should go
investigate. "Take these back
upstairs" he said handing her the bag of decorations. You're not going alone. I'm
going with you." Catstale told him."I know better than to argue. Your a brave
amazon, my love." He kissed her once more than taking her hand they both started
walking down the hall to the stairs. Just then they
saw a sleek black cat, approaching them. The knocking noise seemed to have vanished.
"There's our little culprit" YIolaus said.. "Oh what a pretty kitty"
Catstale replied delightfully. She set the decorations on the floor and swept the
cat up into her arms.
"You aren't supertistious" YIolaus asked. A big grin on his face. "Of
course not" Catstale informed him. "What's Halloween with out a black cat
anyway?" "Like I said one brave amazon" he responded. With that YIolaus
picked up the bag of paper skeltons and rubber bats and they headed back upstairs.
In the Castle
Susan snuck downstairs trying to be as quiet as a church-mouse. She wanted a
sneek peek and perhaps a tiny advance taste of the chocolate HerKs. Arriving in the
kitchen she set about trying to find where Fallafel had hid them. A few moments later she
hit pay dirt. Suddenly she heard footsteps behind her. Her fist thought was"oh no
I've been caught with my hands on the HerK treats. " She felt hot breath on the back
of her neck. Then a firm grip on her shoulders. Susan gasped.
"Did I scare you my pretty?" a deep, dark seductive voice asked. Susan
recognized it instantly. She turned to face her fellow midnight kitchen raider.
"Hello Sov" she said softly. He glanced down at the
treat she had in her hand. "I hope you chose me!" "Why of course Sov",
who else would I choose. "Who else indeed."
He took the candy from her hand and unwrapped it. "Don't let me
interrupt your snack. Go ahead take a bite." Susan did as he instructed. Sov's
eyes devoured her as she sampled the creamy chocolate. "Now taste the real
thing" he growled. He swooped in for the kiss. The rest of the candy fell from her
hands forgotten in the passion of the moment.
In an Upstairs Hallway
Sara Quinn paced the floor nervously. She had a troubled feeling that she could not
displace. She shivered against the chill she felt eminating from the castle walls.
"Sara Quinn is that you?" a soft comforting voice said from
above."Yes" she said her voice quavering. GHerK appeared instantly
beside her. He pulled her into his arms. She snuggled closer and let the warmth of his
body comfort her. "There, there darling.what is troubling you?" "I can't
explain it GHerK." I just feel that something sinister is going on? I know that
sounds crazy."
"No it doesn't. I've felt it too. Apollena has voiced similiar
concerns and she, Kull and I have discussed it. We've kept it to ourselves as we didn't
want to alarm anyone. I've even got a call into Zeus. Maybe my father, will have
some answers about what's going on. "But in the mean time I
don't want you to worry. What ever is going on, we'll handle it together. Nobody messes
with the amazons or the Sorbo-clones." The ball will go on as promised. It is going
to be one heck of a party. Now it's off to bed." "Oh GHerK, I don't think I
could rest. I'm too keyed up." "I said bed, not rest and besides I'm coming with
you."
The Castle Entry Way - 1:00 a.m.
Shauna was roaming around the castle. She was thristy and searching for a glass of
lemonade. There was a loud knock on the door. All of the courtiers were asleep so she went
to answer it.
There stood ~DHerK. A stark bolt of lightening lit up the otherwise black sky.
Shauna shivered. "I've startled you fair amazon. Forgive me." "It wasn't
you" she told him. "It was this storm. I'm not very fond of them. And the air is
a bit chilly." "Yes it a dark cold night" he agreed. "I've received
an invitation to the Halloween ball. I realize I'm late but may I come in?"
"Of please forgive me, of course you may come inside." Shauna agreed readily.
The courtiers are asleep but I believe you were expected and there is a room prepared for
you. I can show it
to you, if you'd like?" "If it wouldn't be mutch trouble, but I've interrupted
you from something haven't I?" He gave her a very mysterious, very intense look.
"That's all right" Shauna assured him. I can take care of it..... later."
She was becoming almost hypnotized from his gaze. "Then lead on my dear."
Shauna led the way up the stairs to the room that had been chosen for him. He walked over
to the window and stood watching the storm. Shauna wondered briefly whether it was nature
or Zeus causing the ruckus. Perhaps the king of the gods had struck out with his latest
conquest. She smiled briefly at the thought.
"I know what you are thinking of Shauna my dear." ~D HerK said in a voice so deep, it made her quiver. And this time she couldn't blame it on the storm. "Please don't tell Zeus" she pleaded. "Why should I tell Zeus anything? When that is not what I speak of? I am talking about your thirst Shauna." " I don't know what you mean?" "Yes you do. It is in your mind and in your heart. And I know how to quench it. Suddenly he was standing right next to her and he gave her his lips to drink.
Julie was yet another amazon struck with a case of insomnia that night.
She was in one of the parlor chambers sitting trying to read by the light of an ever
dimming candle. Dancing HerK entered the room.
"Julie what are you still doing up?" There's nothing wrong is there?"
"No, I'm just feeling a bit restless that's all." "Me too" he said.
"But I think I have the cure for both of us?" "A cup of warm milk?"
she teased with a grin "I was thinking more along the lines of a dance. "A
dance, but there is no music." she exclaimed. "We will just have to make our own
then won't we. He drew her gracefully into his arms and they began to sway as he had
promised to a melody that was all there own.
Elsewhere in the castle.
Rober't and Hilara were engaged in a rowdy game of hide and go seek. The reward for both
the seeker and the sought was a precious prize indeed. Rober't was about to claim his yet
again, when Hilara pushed him away. "What is it that takes your attention away from
me? It had better not be that C'Rober't? I don't mind you spending time with him, just as
you do not object to my seeing other amazons. But I will not have you thinking about him
during our play time." "When I am with you Rober't my thoughts are only of
you" she promised. "Except when it appears to be lightening inside the
castle." "Inside the castle but that is impossible" he replied. "See
for yourself." She pointed to the ceiling. "By the gods you are right."
"An amazon is alway's right Rober't. Haven't you learned that by now" an amused
voice replied. Zeus (author's note - picture Anthony Quinn) materialized in front
of them. The lightening stopped.
He lifted Hilara's hand and bestowed a kiss upon it. "I'm doing my best to teach him
Zeus." "I'm sure you are my dear, I'm sure you are. Oh and by the way the
request you asked of me has been granted." "Thank you Zeus" she replied.
Giving him a kiss on the cheek.
"Now I'm off to find GHerK. I'm more than a little peeved at that boy for
interrupting my playtime.
"Go back to your own games" my friends Zeus commanded. With that he was gone and
the
lightening started up again. "I wouldn't want to be GHerK right now" Rober't
said sympathetically.
"I know what you mean, but he's very good at handling these kind of things.
Well you heard Zeus, back to our game, Rober't" Hilara replied. "It's your turn
to hide."
Breakfast Room
The morning sky was overcast and cloudy but nothing could dampen the growing excitement
about the ball. Hygea was humming to herself as she chose her breakast off the continental
bar that had been set up. She was the first one up.
Soon HerK joined her. "Greetings, Hygea you look beautiful today as always." He
presented her with a beautiful orchid and a sumptious kiss. She returned it eagerly.
When it ended, they were both out of breath. "Now that is what I call a good way to
start the day" Hygea exclaimed. "I couldn't agree with you more." They sat
and began to eat feeding each other bites of the various delicacy's offered.
"Have you heard the rumors that something strange is going on here?" Hygea asked
him. "Yes I've heard them all right." "Kull and GHerK filled me in."
Zeus supposedly popped in last night for a conference. But he disappeared before our
arranged meeting time." "You don't think anything has happened to him?"
Hygea asked worriedly. No I'm sure he just got distracted by one of the female members of
Kull's court, if you know what I mean." Hygea laughed." "I love your
laugh" he told her. He picked up her hand and stroked it delicately. I'd invite you
for a walk outside, but the weather precludes it. So how about a walk through the
castle's green house." "A green house, how lovely. I love this castle. Kull has
done a magnificent job keeping its historic character yet adding all the modern
comforts." "This kingdom is magical" HerK agreed. "Especially when
your in it." He stood, pushed in his chair and went bowed in front of Hygea.
She took his arm and they strolled off on their
private journey.
Dungeon-
A wall full of screens much like Zeus had on Olympus filled yet another room in the
dungeon.
The blonde and the red head stared at the activities going on upstairs. "Look at them
up there enjoying themselves" the blonde remarked. "Well they should be, it will
be the last time they get the chance" the redhead replied. A wicked laugh sounded
behind them. "I like your style, my dear and newest friend." Spinning around the
blonde let out a suprised "Its you?" "Of course it's me. Who were you
expecting? Mary Poppins.Our goals are the same and I have mutch to offer. So may I join
your party." The blonde and the redhead placed there hands one over the other and the
brunette's was placed on top. In a universal symbol of soldarity.
Lisa's Guest Room.
Lisa had just gotten freshened up and dressed, when a knock sounded on her door.
Chivalrous Rober't stood outside her door. He was carrying a breakfast tray, complete
with coffee, grape juiceand cinamon rolls with plenty of icing on top. A single
yellow rose was laying a cross the tray. There was enough for two.
I hope, my lady will not find me to presumptious but would you share breakfast with
me, my dear? I saw you across the room last night and was overcome by your beauty."
Lisa response was immediate. "Of course I don't mind. She smiled and invited him in.
He set the tray on the small sitting table in the room and pulled out her chair for her.
She gracefully took her seat. She picked up the rose, sniffed it delicately then studied
its perfect petals. "It is beautiful. Thank you." "It is splendid indeed
but it cannot compare to you." He leaned over the table and kissed both sides of her
cheek. "You are not so bad yourself" she replied.
They ate in companiable silence. Another knock sounded on the door. Chivalrous
Rober't rose to answer the summons. One of the lady's in waiting stood
outside. CRobert motioned her in. Lisa gasped when she saw the exquisite gold gown in the
woman's hand.
CRober't returned to Lisa's side. If you agree, my lady, I will be your escort to the ball
tonight. "Who are we going to be? she asked, her face glowing with excitement.
"Well I have been informed that the theme of the ball will be to come as your
favorite characters from the world of entertainment including literature, the musical
arts, movie, television and the theatre. Have you seen the movie the "Man
in the Iron Mask? The one with Richard Chamberlin?" "Yes, I loved that
one." "Good, Good, then I shall be Phillipe masquerading as Louis and you shall
be my true love.Then it is agreed." "It is agreed my king", Lisa said as
she executed a perfect courtsey. He bowed to her and then moved
closer. "Tonight my love"he whispered into her ear. "Tonight my
darling" she returned into his." With that he left.
Kevfriend's and SHerK's room.
Kevfriend twirled in the mirror has she looked at the sparkling white gown. It was truly
exquisite. A golden tiara sparkled on her head. She made a perfect Glinda from the Wizard
of Oz. She picked up her wand and rushed down the hall to SHerK's room. "Gee do you
look pretty" he said. He stood up and kissed her sweetly. "What is my costume
going to be."
She pulled out a rainbow colored bow (author's note costume credit, Apollena) "I'm
going to be the rainbow" he said happily. "You always are in my life."
Kevfriend told him. Now let me help you put your costume on."
Down in the dungeon Cells
Poor Sal dragged a stone that he had managed to unearth from the cold ground against the
cell doors. But no one could hear him. He had no way of escape. No way of warining his
friends upstairs of the danger that was about to descend on them. As if, to punctuate his
thought there was a chorus of unholy cackles coming from elsewhere in the dungeon.
NNHerK's Room
Titanic HerK suggested by Apollena.
Becca looking resplendent as a turn of the century socialite. Jewels sparkled in her ears
and on her neck. She knocked softly on NNHerK's door. To her delight he was also in
his costume. A captain's hat rested on top of his head and he had the wheel of a ship's
helm under one arm. "Come into my stateroom" he invited. "But Captain
aren't you afraid the ship will sink without you?" she asked.
"The only thing that is going to be sinking is us on to to the
bed" he dead panned as he dropped
the wheel and pulled her down on to the plush mattress. "But my costume"
she half heartedly
protested. "Oh by all mean's we must protect it my love." He reached for the
zipper of the
dress and lowered it carefully. "I'll help you put it back on later, much later"
he vowed.
Down the hall another NNHerK (2) knocked on Herkite's door. His hair was tied back

island girl. "Why thank you NNHerK? I take it your my escort tonight?" "Yes
and no".
"Yes and no?" Herkite replied quizically. "What does that mean?" I am
your escort but I am not NNHerK. "Who are you?" "I am NNHerK(2). Herkite
had learned long ago not to question anything that happened in Herkdom so she decided to
go along with the flow. She nodded her consent. "But tonight" he added "I
am Fletcher Christian ( author's note Mutiny on the Bounty- Mel Gibson version) and
you are my island love. "I just hope Sir Anthony doesn't show up as the Captain
tonight" Herkite joked. "As long as he dosen't show up as the maniac from
Silence of the Lambs." NNHerK(2) replied. He mimicked the slithering noise. They both
started laughing so hard they fell to the floor. "Let's play out our love
scene, shall we?" he asked. "Aye, Aye Captain, Herkite said as she leaned up to
kiss him.
In the Hallway-
Robert shook his head. "How can there be two NNHerK's?" "Did more
Sorbo-clones come out from the alternate side that you forgot to tell me about?"
"No, No" Hilara replied. "It's the favor I asked Zeus." Only a
few came over from the other side, so I asked him to double even
quadruple some the favored HerK's. That way each amazon, can have her
very own special date to the ball.
"You are how do you say it, a nutcase." "Hey watch it" Hilara
chided him. "A nutcase, but a loveable one" he added in a concilliatory tone.
"That's better, now to put on our costume's." "Who are we going to be
again?" " Your Sargeant Martin Riggs and I'm going to be your Lorna."
"Silly Rober't" he said hitting himself in the forehead. "I should have
known, they are the only other video tapes besides the HerK ones, that are wearing out
from extended play." "Speaking of extended play, isn't it time, I wore you out
again" she asked a wicked gleam in her eye. He accepted the challenge bravely.
"I never wear out darling." "Perhaps, we should reconsider your costume
then, you could go as the "Energizer Bunny." With that she raced down the hall,
with Rober't chasing, after her.
Astrild's Room
"Astrild may I come in?" DHerK called. Astrild immediately pulled open the door.
There he stood in black tie and tails, with a jaunty top hat. He looked magnificent and
she told him so. "Why thank you Astrild or shoud I say Ginger? You look stunning.
That gown is perfert for you. Perhaps we should skip the ball and have our own private
party" "The ball is not for awhile yet, Fred. So we can still have both."
She moved closer and began slipping his tails off, then her hands worked at his tie. Soon
she had his magnificent physique unveiled. Astrild's breath caught. DHerK helped her out
of her costume as well. They were definitely private dancers. Later, they both reveled in
their joy. A smiling Astrild reached for his hat and placed it on his head. "Your
definitely tops with me DHerK-Fred."
NHerK's room
Mystalia awoke in NHerK's arms. They had shared a wonderful mid afternoon "nap"
together. Everything was blissful. She turned and kissed his shoulder. He awoke and lifted
up and braced
himself on one hand. He smiled down at Mystalia and winked. They shared tender kisses.
"It's time to get ready for the ball" he said. "I thought we were already
having one" she replied. He tickled her
and she retaliated. It was awhile longer before they put there costumes on. NHerK's was
easy, all he did was put on a black tie, like the Chippendale dancer's(Ap costume credit)
wore. Mystalia, put on
a sparkling gold mini and go-go boots to complete the dancing theme. They made a beautiful
couple.
Melite's Room-
Melite heard what sounded like a motorcycle engine outside her room. She had just finished
dressing in an emerald green shimmery short dress. She was curious as to what in the world
was going on. Opening the door, she saw BKull on a motorbike. He was in a black leather
jacket and tight, tight jeans. "Who are you?" she asked. "I'm that
guy, Rio from Renegade. And you are a rich senator's daughter. Whose father dosen't
approve of our relationship. So I'm kidnapping you." "I love this scenario"
Melite said. "It get's better baby. I found a secret room, where we can hang
together for awhile as sort of a pre-ball celebration." He hopped off the bike
and gave her a deep hot kiss. "Want to come?" he asked throatily. Meltie hopped
on the bike. What are we waiting for?"
Gaming Room
Danaan and Devlish HerK were in another private room in the castle. They were dressed like
Mel Gibson and Jody Foster from the Maverick movie and were engaged in a game of strip
poker.
"You loose again" Danaan informed him. "So off with your pants.
"Aren't you doing this backwards, shouldn't my hat, tie, shirt etc, come first.
"It's like I told GHerK, we amazons have our own way of playing games. Now quit
being a welcher and drop em" Danaan commanded. He stood up and they were gone.
Danaan felt the bodice of her dress being un-done. "Hey that's not fair."
"Don't they say over here that all is fair. Besides I like to play my own way
too." "Your my kind of man" Danaan said as she stood up tossed the cards
over her shoulder and jumped into his arms."
Downstairs In the Ballroom
(dual credits Apollena and Julie costumes). HerK(5) saw Voluptua in the ball room. She
made a perfect Scarlet Ohara in a white Southern Belle gown trimmed in black with a
matching hat and gloves. "Hello Voluptua or should I call you Miss Scarlet?"
"Well hello Rhett-HerK(5) don't you look dashing. That mustache almost looks
real." "It is real, GHerK helped me out. Where is everyone?" "Our
watches must have been early" she exclaimed. "And here I wanted to be
fashionably late." "Well my dear don't worry one hair on your gorgeous
head about that. I know the perfect solution. He swept her up in his arms and ran up the
stairs with her in his arms. At the top he kissed her thorughly before carrying her off to
his room.
Aphrael's Room
Aphrael stood at her mirror checking her wig. She picked up a reporter's note pad and pen.
To her surpise she heard a knock on the window. She ran to it and looked out. Her shock
grew even greater. There was GHeK hovering in the air. He was dressed as Superman. "I
see your really
getting into your part" she said smiling. "This is great. Come fly with me
Lois?" Aphrael didn't
hesitate. She took his offered hand and off they went. There was a chill in the night air
but it
only added to her exhilaration. Suddenly he stopped. They hung suspended in mid-air as
he hugged her tightly and lowered his mouth to hers.
Smaller Kitchen.
CJane and L HerK were in a smaller kitchen off the main one. He had on a construction
worker's hat, tools and pants. He was shirtless and he even volunteered to flex for her.
"Nice pec's" she commented. "Thank you" he replied. She handed him a
Diet Coke that she had gotten out of the fridge. "There now your costume is
complete." "You look beautiful" he told her, but I just want to make a few
little adjustments to yours. She was dressed like a female office worker. He took off her
classes and unbuttoned her blouse till the edge of her silk chemise was showing. He bent
and kissed the skin he'd exposed. Lastly he loosened the bun and let her hair free. There
now your costume is complete" he said echoing her earlier statement. Next he opened
the can of Diet Coke and poured it over himself. "Want a taste?" he asked
wickedly. "It's delicious and it's only one calorie." CJane
smiled and licked her lips as she advanced on him.
PHerK's Room
Calico placed the dark black wig over her hair and accented her eyes. Her companion, PHerK
wrapped his arms around her. They both studied their reflections in the mirror.
"There never was
a more exotic Cleopatra" he whispered as he kissed the back of her neck. "And
there has never been a more handsome Marc Antony" He first stroked her arms and then
down the rest of her body.
She purred her pleasure. They shared an intense kiss. Time and time again through
out history they would meet, their passions would blaze brightly and their love would last
an eternity.
Brilliant HerK's Room
"And that is what we do with duct tape in our world" KalliSta told Brilliant
HerK. He looked at her with rapt attention. That was fascinating indeed my dear. I am
eager to discuss more of the benefits of this amazing material. "So am I" she
whispered to herself. "Ah but we have a ball to go to." He got out of bed and
put on the pair of blue jeans, she had given him. Next came a checkered shirt which she
instructed him to leave almost entirely unbuttoned. She covered that with an unzipped
brown leather bomber jacket. She placed a Swiss Army knife in his shirt pocket and told
him to carry a small roll of the precious duct tape in his pant's pocket.
"He.........llo MacGyver, she said as she stepped back to admire her work. "Now
the key thing to remember about MacGyver she told
him "is that he's always "inventive" and very, very "handy". Now
I'm the daughter of a scientist and you're my bodyguard. "I will stay close to your
body all night he vowed. And he suited action to words.

The Ballroom
GHerK(1) restored the lights almost immediately. They illuminated the villians of the
piece. Hovering over the ballroom like three wicked witches were Hera, Akivasha and
Callisto. The Nemean Lion, the zombies, the mummy, Graegus and the Hydra lined up on the
side of evil. They were not costumed party goers after all but the real thing.
Despite Sal's warning the amazons and their heroes stood firm. There was no doubt the
battle ahead would be challenging but no one was willing to conceed the war. GHerK(2)
dressed as Batman started it off by zapping the Hydra with a fire ball. Two of Akivasha's
followers came up and grabbed Sara Quinn, who was dressed as Catwoman and the other
grabbed Aprhrael. The men were no doubt hoping to distract GHerK's (1)& (2) but their
plans failed. Both women escaped
after dispatching well placed kicks. Their heroes gave them each a thumbs up.
Chivalrous HerK drew his sword as did YIolaus. They began battling the faux Herc's dressed
as Hera's priests. Two more swords appeared and Lisa and Cas immediately began fighting by
their heroes sides. NNHerK(1) put his ship wheel over the head of one of the bad guys then
started him spinning. Becca gave another one a boot in the butt. He went flying. Becca and
NNHerK(1) exchanged a kiss before returning to buisness.
DHerK(1) quickly showed Astrild, DHerK(2), Julie, Mystalia and NHerK, Calico and PHerK
the choreographed fight moves that Widow Twanky had taught him. They were fast learners
and soon their wicked foes were like acrobats, flying without a net to catch them.
Catstale was using her veils to great advantage, tying up them up as soon as they reached
the ground.
~DHerK(2) transformed himself into a ghost and frightened one of the enemies of Valusia so
badly he fainted. Andulasia picked up a cauldron being used as a decoration, emptied it
and then bopped another one over the head with it. YJason picked up on her cue and grabbed
the witches broom from the same display. He began using it as a fighting stick with very
effective results. ~DHerK(1) one was dressed as Joe Black from the soon to be released
Brad Pitt film. He came up behind one of Hera's priests and whispered, "I'm
your worst nightmare." The evil clone shook so hard he fell apart. Shauna dressed as
the earth woman, who Joe falls in love with, speared another one with her high heeled
shoes. CJane and Diet Coke-LHerK were drumming on some of the evil creeps head with
DCLHerK's hammers. "We make beautiful music together" he told her.
McGyver-Brilliant HerK and KalliSta were having great success as they wrapped several of
the bad dudes up in duct tape. Herkite and and NNHerK(2) were showing more of the evil
ones how to do a new kind of hula. Voluptua was using Scarlet's parasol to great
advantage. RHerK smiled at her as he finished off a villian of his own. Josee and her
Jame's Bond HerK were field testing some great new spy tools. NBall and Indy HerK were
scaling up the sides of the castle, then swinging outward to knock more baddys down.
Kevfriend used Glinda's wand, which some how magically worked and turned SHerK into
his metal personna he then began knocking some head's together. "I'll be back"
he warned. Sov(2) came up behind him. "I still like my line better. Watch
this." He went up to some of the zombies and growled. "Go ahead make my
day" Sov(1) was suddenly next to him. "I must say I like your style. And as for
you zombies, You have made me very DISSAPOINTED. I'll never let you hurt Freya or the
other amazons. You'll pay for this insubordination. Freya ran up to him and gave him a big
kiss and handed him a HerK-o-Lantern. "Set them on fire" she whispered.
"Your so clever my love" he replied. "I will reward you with a good
scream" once our work here is finished. Susan handed Sov(2) a lit pumpkin as well and
he promised her equal delight. Melite and RioBKull helped out knocking some more zombies
down on twin Harleys. As were Danaan and Devilish HerK who were giving several more of
them hot seats.
Graegus approached LAres, Star, Chantal, Hilara and Rober't. He was growling fiercely.
Rober't and LAres jumped in front of the ladies vowing to shield them with their bodies.
"Hey" Star and Hilara said "We are not going to let your face him alone.
We'e in this together." They each found a weapon and began to fight the demon dog.
Aes was saying "he won't bite you I promise. He will obey me. Greagus down" he
ordered. Graegus ignored him and advanced on Chantal. "No one threatens my darling
Chantal and gets away with it" Ares said with steam coming out of his ears."Your
toast Graegus." He zapped his former pet and it disappeared. Chantal jumped into Ares
arms and gave him a big kiss. LAres sprinkled the ground with love dust. There maybe next
halloween, he will come back as a sweet little gerbile." Then all together, this
group of party goers joined in the fight.
Soon all the enemies were vanquished except the Nemean Lion , the Mummy and the three
twisted sisters, Hera, Callisto and Akivasha. Kull bravely faced down the mummy. He fought
brilliantly picking up one of the zombies and throwing it at the mummy. The mummy mistook
the zombie for a live person and consumed it. Kull threw a piece of his armor to GHerK(1)
who quickly fashioned it into an unk. Kull shoved it in the mummy's face and he was
vanquished.
Meanwhile the original HerKules was fighting the Nemean Lion. He was holding his own but
the fight was fierce. "You must be a glutton for punnishment" HerK said.
"This didn't turn out so well for you the last time, so why don't you just give it
up?" The lion just roared louder. "Toss my one of Kull's axes HerK called down
to no one in particular. Ares was standing closest to one and to everyone's
surprises, including Ares he tossed it up to HerK. HerK look shocked for a moment but then
sent the Nemean Lion back to the underworld where it belonged. Are's shook and lowered his
head into his hands. "I actually helped him again. I can't believe this."
"Thats right you did sweetie, thank you" Chantal and Star both said as they
kissed him on his cheeks.
Now all that was left was to deal with Callisto, Hera and Akivasha. Kull, HerK and the
rest of
the heroes began advancing on them. But Apollena, Iris and Melite shouted, "No allow
us." With GHerK's help they floated to the top of the room. He opened the gate to
Tarturus. Apollena, Melite and Iris locked hands. "All together Amazon sisters"
they cried. All the amazons on the ground locked hands as well and sent their strength to
their sisters up above. Apollena, Melite and Iris kicked as one and sent Callisto, Hera
and Akivasha back where they belonged. The room broke out into cheers.
A throat was cleared and attention was called for and received. Kull and HerK stood side
by side next to the throne. HerK raised a glass of grape juice and Kull raised a glass of
Lemonade."All hail to the amazons." The rest of the heroes toasted & bowed
to their ladies. "All Hail to our Heroes" the amazons shouted in return. They
sipped their drinks, then tossed their glasses over their shoulders and demonstrated their
"gratitude. "
Sal crawled out from under the table he had been hiding under. "Well I'm glad it all
worked out
okay, but next year, if it's all the same to you, I'd just as soon skip this Halloween
party." Fallafel was
standing over two bowels which had fallen, shaking his head in disgust. Look at this mess
"The carmel has spilled all over my apples" There goes my dessert.
"Caramel? Apples?" Sal said his face brightening. He stood up and placed his arm
around Fallafel, "Have I got a deal for you. Goodnight" he said giving everyone
a backward's wave. "Happy Halloween." "Happy Halloween everyone chorused,
before going back to a far more enjoyable pursuit. All the lights went out again for the
second time that night. Except for the original HerK- O Lantern. This time no one minded a
bit. The boo-boo kissing had begun in earnest.
