Now this little thing has been bugging me since Hilara’s wonderful post about Hercules bed springs and the little «conversation » Nuance and I had about Sov’s new hobby. I’m at work at it just wrote itself. Enjoy.

 Monday night around 10.00 PM Basement of KS HQ.

The inventory space was lit with candles and oil lamps. Whispers were heard. Some amazons were already seated on the beautiful Persian rug, their backs to the wall. Others were sitting on the latest additions to the basement : Hercules Bed Springs.

 Hilara was at the door waiting for the late arrivals. « Dicez, save me a place on Hercules, oups, I mean on the bed... » « No problem. There is some room left. Great idea to put a few of these in here. You never know when you’ll need it. » Dicez said with a devilish glint in her eyes.

The last two amazons were stepping in Chantal and Nuance. Hilara smiled at them and said « Find a place to sit. This is a very informal reunion. » Sitting next to Dicez, Hilara cleared her throat and began.

« We are all here because we have been either the prey or the predator in Sov latest little hobby *Stalking Amazons*. Not that we mind actually... »

« We sure don’t. » laughed Melite.

« Well, let’s just say there is a closet with my name on it on level 2 » added Deeva.

« But there is some new members at KS HQ that need to be informed of Sov latest, shall we say *variation*. » Hilara looked at Nuance and Chantal and they both nodded. « Yes, variation of pursuit. Nuance, you were the latest to get caught. Maybe you can give us some advice. »

Nuance not used to be front and center gave a quick look around. « Okay, well, I didn’t per se get caught. I kinda grabbed him instead... »

« You grabbed him. » said Becky. « WOW, you have gust, lady. »

« How did you do that ? I’ve been trying to sneak upon him.. » Kelly started then stopped. « Okay, I confess, I’ve tried to catch him for some time now. I have a legitimate reason... »  

« Oh sure, you have » was heard all around. 

« Yes, I do. I’m writing Sov’s biography. Really. » added Kelly with the most sincere face she could put on.  

Everyone burst out laughing.

Nuance wiping the laughter tears from her eyes continued « Well, I slinked up behind him like EvilMollXena and suddenly wrapped a rope around his waist. With one perfect move he was trapped in the nearest closet. He did not hear me coming, he was too ticked off at Chantal. »

« Yes he was. Very disappointed in me because I gave away a tactic to surprise him. » said Chantal.

Baucis, Debbie, Donna and Ann were all ears. « What happened next ? » asked Baucis.

« Well, I was very grateful to Nuance but I had barely the time to warn her about Sov’s latest thing. »

« Thing ? ! ! ! What thing ? I have not heard of a new thing ! ! ! » interrupted Melite.

«Well, I think my exact words were *Hope you enjoy it, Nuance. Watch out for the ... * and I heard... » continued Chantal. 

« Ouch, you bit me ! » said Nuance with a little giggle in her voice.

All the Amazons in the room were stunned.

« He bit you ? Where ? » asked Deeva after recovering from the shock. Chantal and Nuance looked at one another. « Well, he says he nibbles... » started Nuance. « Hey, Herk nibbles and it’s quite fun... » mused Dicez.

« Oh, Sov’s very own kind of nibbles is quite different from Herk. » said Chantal with a sigh. Nuance added «Yep and we have the teeth marks to prove it. But I’ve come up with a defense. You bit him right back ! He was surprised at first but kinda liked it. »  

The reunion went on to study the floor’s plans of KS HQ. Where the best closet space was and so on. Around 11.00 PM, the reunion was over. One by one, the Amazons left. Hilara and Dicez made sure all the candles were out and that the door was locked behind them. Hilara gave Dicez a hug and left. Dicez had decided to take a short cut through the basement instead of following Hilara up the stairs. She knew that short cut by heart, no ambush possible. « Darn » she thought laughing inside.  

It took five minutes and suddenly, she was facing the man himself. Sov was waiting at the bottom of the eastern staircase. « So had a nice talk about me, did you ? Do you have some new technique to dazzle me with my dear ? » Sov asked in a low tone.

Dicez with a devious smile walked up to him. Stood inches away from his face and said « Only one question Sovereign, did you brush your teeth ? »

Sov growled with pleasure and replied « Oh, this is going to be good. » and pulled Dicez in the closet under the stairs.
