BECKY TO THE RESCUE OR WE’RE NOT IN SORBOLAND ANYMORE

Part three

Deeva had made Josée remember the wild and passionate 3 combo kiss (nibble, French and grope ) that Kull had gave her. Josée was still feeling tingly all over but smile at Deeva and said "Let’s get to work!"

Surveying the place she took charge. "Now, I’ll try to get Gazelle to regain control again. You work on Andulasia, I know she mumbled something about a Valentine present that might work." Glancing at Star and Duncan, she sighed. "He’s so … yummy"

Then she noticed, Star’s kinda wandering eyes. She could swear, Star was scanning the place.. Plus she heard Star giggled and asked with a very sultry voice " You know, I’m kinda thirsty, some lemonade would be so nice…" And she advanced one of her pawn to attack Duncan’s queen. Duncan raised an eyebrow. "Lemonade, you’re sure…" "Yes, it would be so refreshing …" Star whispered.

Josée blinked once. Star was actually asking for lemonade. She wan not under any influence. Relieved Josée smiled. Things were looking up. She laughed when she heard Duncan asking for lemonade for everyone. "Lemonade, why didn’t I think of that?" mumbled Josée going straight for Gazelle.

Blades clashing could be heard from the hall. Following the sounds, Chantal got to the game room. It was a sight for sore eyes. Kendaa was battling a tall dark man. She was holding her own. She met every move her opponent made. Even launched an attack or two. But the man was good. Chantal felt a slight disturbance near her. She looked sideways only to see the reaction on Ares’ face. Kendaa was one of his favorite. He had a big smile on his face that said " See, I taught her well."

Kendaa broke the fight. She made a false move and ended up on her knee with her opponent’s blade on her neck. Ares took a step. Chantal said "Wait". Then giggles came out of Kendaa. "Methos, you’ll have to teach me that move." The God of War winced. "Teach her? Never?"

"My dear, you are an accomplished swordsman. I really would like to meet your teacher." He helped her up. "I don’t remember who taught me. Not important. I found you…"

A very loud roar erupted "I’ll make you remember… you are mine…"

Chantal turned away and said " We need you too as soon as possible in the great hall. Please Ares, try not to be late, too much…"

Deeva had Andulasia on a roll. She was giggling so hard. Something about rose petals being to sticky. Finally after a very big sigh, she turned to Deeva with clear eyes. "Where are we? Then she smiled at Deeva. Looking around she remembered as Nyxx and Apollena sat in front of them. She said " This is not our world" They all looked at each other and in one voice they shouted "DISAPPOINTED!!!" Josée at the other end of the hall let out a roaring laugh and gave them two thumbs up.

Finally, lemonade was being served all around. Norma, Susan, Sabrina and the rest of the amazons were slowly coming back to their senses. Josée decided to launch an attack on Gazelle who had not touch her glass.

Chantal was walking towards the garden. She was still a little rattle. "I’m sure Kendaa will be all right. She’s strong. Think positive. And I’m sure he wasn’t serious about that choice business…" When she was stopped dead in her tracks. Right in front of her was Melite and Cupid. Dancing. Tango. Melite was turning twirling, laughing. In public. Cupid was dipping her and bringing her up, leaving a trail of kisses in the process. Reaching her lips, he stopped about 1/8 of an inch away.

Josée was having a hard time reaching Gazelle. She was totally in awe of Connor. Nyxx, Deeva, Andulasia had more luck since Nannyboo, Norma, Zuell, Sabrina and a few others had all drank a glass of lemonade. All was needed is a recount of the lemonade sequence from Fancy Free. Still Nannyboo was looking at Duncan with puppy eyes. Nyxx just whispered in Nanny’s ear " whip cream". Nannyboo eyes went wild and she said with a very low voice " Oh Sov, a little lower, please…" Nyxx, Deeva and Andulasia exchanged a quick glance then mouthed "LOWER" then "Oh man, … we have to learn to play poker" was said in unison.

"Well, it looks like Melite finally found the courage to get out of the closet." Chantal jumped. Right behind her was Ares holding Kendaa by the waist. "Well, it was bound to happen eventually…" Kendaa added. "Nice to have you back, friend…" smiled Chantal and gave her a wink. "Hope the treatment wasn’t too… difficult" Chantal gave Ares a slight elbow hit. Ares rolled his eyes and said "Me… difficult?" He laughed and took another long look at Melite and announced "Well, I guess it means she won’t be running next time…"

Cupid teased Melite. " I want you to said it out loud, Melite. " She let out a small sigh " I can’t" she whispered "I’m not brave enough."

Cupid closed up the space between them and gently pulled at her lower lip. Melite trembled. After a long kiss, she pulled away, looked up at the sky and yelled " I’m out of the closet, I’m a proud Cupidian. Hear me world." (Note of the author: Melite I outed you in that universe, doesn’t mean a thing in our universe. LOL)

Turning Becky gives Herkie a wild look and asked herself "What am I going to do now…" Right then a burst of light appears. "Hello my pretty. I see you are still not going anywhere without your little Herkie." MMMuffin, the wicked witch of the West Highlands smirked.

Sov and Freya looked up at this apparition. " What is this? Grand Central? Get out!" yelled Sov.

"You three are pathetic! I believe I will enjoy playing with you" and with a wave of a hand all four disappeared in a flash of light.

Chantal and Kendaa finally came into the great hall. Nyxx came towards them. "Good you are here. We have almost everything under control. We only have 3 hard cases left. Prinny, MMMuffin and Dicez. Even with three glasses of lemonade, we can’t seem to reach them. On the plus side Josée finally made Gazelle snap out of her trance. She had to evoke her right to the Herk Grape Standee and threaten to take full custody form her. It didn’t take long after that. For the last three, it’s almost as if they are under a spell.

Chantal gave a side way glance at Star who had not even acknowledge their entrance. "And what about Star? " Josée gave Chantal a thumb’s up." Good. Now we have to…"

She was interrupted by a blue flash and the apparition of Sov, Freya, Becky and the evil MMMuffin.

"What the … Becky, what’s going on? Are you all right? Chantal was totally in shock. The evil MMMuffin looked at her and said " Well, how can you talk, if you haven’t got a brain, sweetty?"

Chantal’s eyes fired up and she replied her voice full of irony " Gee, I don’t know. But some people without brains do an awful lot of popping"

"How impertinent, my dear, you should learn to keep quiet." And she was about to zap Chantal when her sister, Princess popped in.

"Now, MMMuffin, that would be very foolish of you. How about a challenge instead?" She gave Connor a quick glance. He shook his head in agreement. "Yes, a challenge, it’s more in keeping with the rules" said Connor. "Who will you choose to defend your friends? If our side win everybody stays… forever. If your side wins you are free to go if you what to of course. Then he turned on his most charming smile at Dicez who said "Why would I ever want to leave?" and Prinny added "Leave? Leave? Why?" Duncan who was launching his bishop into an ambush of Star’s queen, gave Star a wick and said "Exactly my opinion. Why leave?" And he gave Prinny a drop dead gorgeous all the way to his eyes smile. Prinny swooned.

Chantal was now mad. Who did they think they were dealing with? She could be devious and manipulative with the best of them. She had had the best teacher. She had decided to be honest and to give up her old ways when she took her position at KS HQ (much to Ares’ dismay). But you can run from your past but you can hide from it. Not for long any way. So after making eye contact with Star, she went for broke. "Agreed. But I want all my friends to be free of any undue influence starting now. And I choose… MMMuffin to defend our cause." Connor laughed, his very sexy unusual laugh, them replied " Done. Let the challenge begin…"

MMMuffin rose from her seat Her eyes were clear and she had a very very calm attitude. Nyxx, Deeva and Josée looked at one another and said: "TROUBLE!!!"

The witch of the West Highlands looked at her identical twin and laughed. "You are kidding, right? Her? Piece of cake!" She lifted her hand, pointed at her mirror image and…. Received a full glass of lemonade in the face. MMMuffin just looked at her and said "Go ahead make my day!" as she poured a full pitcher of lemonade on her.

The witch started to melt. Smoke raised and she was yelling "I’m melting, I’m melting. You little ?&?*?" and she was gone.

Chantal went immediately to MMMuffin, put her arms around her and said " I heard about being you own worst enemy but this is priceless. That had to be a little weird" MMMuffin smiled and said " You have not idea." Princess relieved shouted " DING DONG the witch is dead. Finally I won’t have to share anymore!"

She then waved her hand and everybody disappeared except for Star.

After a very fine relaxing week of vacations, Becky was real happy to come back to her KS family. She had gotten little nik nak for everybody. She had worked on her tan, read (The Hercules official guide, of course!) and had kept in touch through her email.

She pushed the glass doors. She heard it at once. Tedras answering in Italian to a very excited Amazon who wanted to order the first season episodes. Freya, who was saying to another "You gotta have your Platinum Amazon express card ready." Kara who was taking names for the CPR course with Sov as the teacher. "Yes, we will teach reanimation techniques…" Passing in front of Gazelle’s office, she saw the Herk Grape Standee stare at her. She pushed the door and got close to it. "Oh, Herkie, we are home, home. There’s not place like KS HQ." She went out again and into the administrative area. "Becky, you’re back. Nice tan…" was the first thing she heard.

Star was walking back to KS HQ thru the garden. She was not alone. "Always a pleasure playing chess with you, luv. Until next time and remember. A heart is not judged by how much you love, but how much you are loved by others. And from what I could see, everyone her is very much loved." Star gave him a smile and a long kiss and walked away.

"And sometimes in the dead of night

Star and Duncan are still playing chess

Star still wins and sips lemonade

As for Duncan well… he’s just doing his best."

And Star has no complaints….
